About Joe

I am a photographer, writer and computer programmer (by day). My childhood consisted of taking things apart to find out how they worked and building lego castles with Mister Sinister guarding the gates from my little sister who loved to tear down my amazing creations. Mister Sinister was one of my very first action figure toys and I played with him until his arm eventually broke, at which time I am pretty sure he got a bottle rocket jetpack and I never seen him again. I think as far back as I can remember I was a Marvel fan, and of all the Marvel Universe the X-men always commanded my attention the most. My first comic was an issue of Uncanny X-men, but I have no clue which one. Now, as an adult, I look back and wish I would have taken better care of those toys and still had some of them today. I'm one of the few Computer Programmers who actually prefer console games to pc games. I get a little ridicule from some of my colleagues. For me it is about the social activity and my xbox never has a lack of people signed in on my friends list. I have discovered that I am addicted to achievements and often compete with my friends to try and get all the achievements in a game. I still play Magic the Gathering, mum is the word, and also enjoy many table top games such as Betrayal at House on the Hill. One of my favorite things to do is take pictures and so I have been slowly going to more and more comic conventions and photographing cosplay at its best.
