SUPERNATURAL “THIN LIZZIE”

Lizzie Borden took an ax gave her mother forty whacks, when she saw what she done gave her father forty-one. This is an old schoolyard jump rope rhyme but has everything to do with this episode. I love researching the case of Lizzie Borden. If you don’t know anything about her, let me enlighten you a little. She was a young woman who lived in Fall River, Massachusetts. Lizzie lived with a very controlling father and step mother along with her sister. It is said that one-day Lizzie flew into a rage and killed her step mother and father. The courts were never able to convict her of this crime so she was acquitted. She lived out the rest of her days in a house not far from where the murders occurred, forever ostracized by everyone in town. The house is now a bed and breakfast that you can rent out. So you can sleep in the same bedroom that Lizzie allegedly killed her step-mother in.

Lizzie Borden

An angel binge watching anything is funny and even funnier when you think about Cas binge watching The Wire.  Sam is seriously giddy about having a case that has to do with Lizzie Borden. The boys are seriously intrigued when they find out their victim was descendent from the Bordens.  I would be too though; this is probably the one time that I am with Sam all the way.

Of course when they get the EMF out it immediately starts to light up indicting that there is a bunch of activity at the house, I mean this is one of the most famous cases in history so of course it is going to go crazy! Lights flickering are never a good sign unless, you are a Winchester and then they are a promising sign.  This only works if you are not staying at a bed and breakfast geared at making money.

When another murder happens in the house they decided it was a hoax, the boys know they have a case. How does a murder happen in a locked room? Especially when everything says it was not a ghost. Could this really be Lizzie Borden or something that is human?

This is an episode that you need to watch to appreciate. It was nice to have a break from the norm and even greater that it was a case that I know a lot about.
